Who we are


The Farm comprises:

34 hectares (85 acres) of organic grassland and arable crops for livestock and 14 hectares (35 acres) of arable land.

4 ancient ridge and furrow fields.

Planted woodland.

A range of livestock.

A collection of horse drawn vehicles.

An interesting collection of vintage machinery and agricultural implements to illustrate historical developments in the agricultural industry and for use by students involved in restoration projects.

Education activities are undertaken to:


Support the National Curriculum in science, technology, maths, arts and humanities.

Provide inspiration and motivation for pupils across the ability range.

Offer GCSE Environmental and Land Based Science and Vocational Courses in Agriculture and Horticulture.

Provide vital links with primary schools and other groups.


Offer extra curricular activities in agriculture, natural history and conservation, and other land based subjects.

Provide opportunities to enhance the local environment.

Provide learning opportunities for all members of the community.
